dining room swag

More of the dining room decorations. A swag in burgundy, gold and copper with sugared fruit, ornaments and pine cones. This della robbia style  piece is over the entrance with smaller, coordinating pieces over the windows and doorways. Yes, this is a very heavy, though pleasant room.

roses and wine

Don't forget that roses and wine will always be romantic and sexy. Put this on your partner's end table and who knows were it could go. It's always better to give flowers to get into trouble than out of it.

rustic holiday design

Not everyone likes bling for their holiday designs. This natural look would be a great for a cabin or lodge style setting or just for someone who appreciates natural elements. Made in a clear vase with grapevine as an armature, burlap ribbon, cranberries, pine cones and of course a cardinal. We didn't always have floral foam you know.

roses and lisianthus 2

While going through my flower photos I found this shot of one of my very early posts "roses and lisianthus centerpiece" 6/18/10. When using a white container you should have white flowers in the arrangement so the flowers don't look like they are sitting on top of the container.

ornamentation

These 2 cute contemporary Christmas designs were made using ornaments as vases. 2 permanent antherium with flocked pine in a green ornament with stryrofoam in a cube (top). Bottom is a single fresh rose with salal leaves and gold painted bear grass in a red ornament stabilized with a gold snowflake, making a reusable Christmas bud vase.

silver and red

Though we generally we see silver with blues, silver and red is a great combo, still traditional but chiller than red and gold.

transitional centerpiece

This simple permanent design in fashionable copper, green, brown and gold can be used as a transitional piece, displayed through late fall, Thanksgiving and into Christmas. When using non-traditional colors it's good to use traditional shapes, mixing contemporary with classic.
